Birth Pangs…

The day still vividly flashes in my mind. I was one of those four perplexed ones and we were four (Sandesh Shetti, Manish Gawasane, Abhijeet Tengshe and myself) had a serious problem. A friend of us was flustered. He wanted to join a very 'famous and elite' club in his college because he wanted to improve his English and personality but he was rejected because his English was bad and he did not have an impressive personality! We were confused because we were not sure how to console, help him. If this indeed was an advertising scene, we could have told him to apply some fairness cream and get selected!

Not that we were against such elite clubs. In fact, I was an active member of it myself but when we thought hard about the situation, we realised the fallacies about the selection process.Any college club which was being run for the development of the students, should it not be run for developing the the underdeveloped students?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  READ MORE.....

It gives me huge bliss to have an elite club ‘SOFTA’ in our college.  SOFTA has been an active participant in all the major events of college.

SOFTA hosts events like IMPULSE which is not only provides a platform for students of our college but also across the university to judge their own personality. It has been a great to see that Impulse is achieving greater heights of success every year. This club has also been involved heartily in graduation day and fresher welcome.

SOFTA has always been regular in improving the performance of all its members. Regular club service helps students to keep up with the pace of the ever growing competition by enhancing and improvising their personality traits. Club service not only provide a straightforward way to communicate with the senior students but also help to have a benevolence among the all the students.

It gives me immense pleasure to be an associated with one of the most prestigious Organizations in our college, SOFTA.

From its establishment, SOFTA has been active for betterment of students in our institute. SOFTA provides platform for Students to transform from an engineering student to an ENGINEER. There are skills which can't be practiced in classrooms, I think; SOFTA is better place for those.

SOFTA has been enthusiastically involved in Graduation day - 2011 and Fresher welcome – 2011. IMPULSE has always been a good experience for both participants and organizers.  It has been getting greater response each year. Along with Impulse, SOFTA has also been taking steps towards improving technical and soft skills among the students. Regular and interactive club service has been a part and parcel of SOFTA’s club culture. Other than IMPULSE, it also organizes CALIBER – a mock campus test for students to face a virtual campus before appearing for their campus interviews in final year.
